Marshall JCM 2000 DSL401 - 40 watt, 1x12 combo

40 watt, Marshall tube combo amp for sale!  Excellent condition!

I'm the second owner of this amp... but, both owners have only played in bedrooms, or in rehearsal studios.  I got it from a mate a couple of months after he bought it - he lives with his Mrs in a tiny flat, and apparently his girlfriend couldn't handle his shredding! 

Great and versatile amp for home or jamming with a band!  Seriously, this amp can match a 100watt head and 4x12 cab when you run it into a 2x12 extension cab (see photo of my rig).  Trust me, I've done it!

This amp has never been gigged.  Barely any wear and tear!  Only one small scratch on the metal casing on the back under the mains input (see photo).

Tone...  Basically this amp covers the whole spectrum from cleans through to thick distortion.
This amp has 2 channels, and a gain boost feature.  All footswitchable.  LED footswitch included (see in foreground of photo). 
Clean channel has Bass, Middle, Treble controls.  Also has it's own Gain control, and goes from sparkly Marshall cleans (think Hendrix, "Little Wing") through to big bluesy crunch.  Volume controlled by amp's Master Volume.
Overdrive channel has Gain, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble controls.  Goes from niiiiiice Marshall crunch, all the way through to thick creamy distortion.
Overdrive boost feature gives you a footswitchable gain and volume boost - perfect for cutting through the mix for lead work, or for simply getting that metal distortion that JCM 2000's are famous for.
There's also a Master Reverb, DI line out, and FX loop.

Internal speaker is a Celestion G12T-100, see description from www.avatarspeakers.com... "The  Celestion G12T100 is a higher powered, even better sounding version of the famous G12T75. Plays better than new, because of recent tube replacement (just last week!).  Now set up with fresh JJ tubes!  Sounds like butter, mixed with cream, mixed with sugar!

I'm only selling because I'm saving to get a modified Marshall JCM 800.  I need all the money I can scrounge together for that!  Would love to keep it if I could!  My loss is your gain.
