A japanese 19th century pine tan-su, the rectangular top above two panelled sliding doors opening to reveal storage space, the lower section with tow panelled sliding doors opening to reveal two long and two short drawers to the right side and three long drawers to the left side, fitted with brass handles and plates throughout, raised on a plinth base. On the top is a covering of paper with caligraphy. It was then valued at $8,000.
