Clovely Estate Pty Limited is a premium Australian wine producer with vineyards and winery in the South Burnett Valley with cellar doors there and in Brisbane. Clovely Estate is widely acknowledged as Queensland’s most consistent producer of high quality wines, with over 100 Medals and Awards from shows all around Australia over the past 6 years.
We are seeking operators for our “mobile cellar door” visiting shows, fetes and festivals throughout rural Queensland from February to September.
Our mobile cellar door, a first for the industry, travels around Queensland inviting patrons to sample and then buy our wines with the objective of introducing our fine products to the public. It is a key part of our promotional activities and a profitable business to the operator.
We are seeking a person or couple with a love for food and wine and dealing with people, who can maintain this mobile cellar door as a successful and ongoing feature of the festival and show circuit. The successful applicant will be responsible for all facets of operations, including identifying events that are worth attending (within an itinerary already developed), obtaining permits, attending the event, conducting tastings and sales. This is a very hands-on role. The position involves being on the road for the majority of the show season and generally requires weekend and evening work.
Clovely Estate requires people who have a “get up and go” attitude, are strongly people related and well presented, comfortable with multi-tasking and working under some pressure from time to time. You will also be committed to maintaining the high standards of customer service that Clovely Estate prides itself upon.
To be the successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate a good knowledge of wine and be energetic and successful with people. Experience in the hospitality industry would be an advantage but is not necessary. The position could suit, for example, a retired couple with a love of wine or wine sales professional seeking a change of direction in their career.
An attractive contracting package will be negotiated with the right applicant, based on skills, experience and enthusiasm. All equipment is provided.
