Qualified (Master of Art therapy)
Art psychotherapeutic work in mental health, counselling, schools, aged care or other suitable setting. I work with groups of around 5 clients, or 1:1. Fee: >$50 per hour.
Work History
I work with disabled adults at a day centre on Fridays. I have brought out their creativity and helped autistic, intellectually disabled and people with other disabilities to express themselves.
On Wednesdays I work with elderly people in a nursing home. I have helped them with life review exercises, assisted them with resolving issues from their past through image making and and increased the number of meaningful activities in their daily life.
I have had clinical experience with mentally ill adolescents; victims of domestic violence; disabled people and elderly clients, including some with dementia. One of my disabled clients is an elective mute. I also have worked with deaf clients and those with autism spectrum disorder.
Skills and personal qualities

Patience and empathy

Understanding of infant/parent attachment issues, family therapy, autism, especially asperger's, and personality disorders.

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Good computer skills.

Skillful written and verbal communication.

Experience working with people from CALD and indigenous backgrounds.
