Due to strong growth and an on-going ability to win interesting Construction Projects, an exciting position has arisen for an enthusiastic and talented Civil or Structural Project Engineer within this well respected Multi-disciplined Civil Contractor. Although there has been a growing focus on winning large, regional Water Infrastructure projects, the opportunity will initially be based on either a large Bridge project in country NSW, or on a Highway construction just South of Sydney. You will benefit from the opportunity to progress and develop rapidly in this fast-paced but highly professional organisation. You will be proactive, a quick-learner, be able to play either a team-role or be prepared to work autonomously when required. Communication skills combined with an approachable nature is key in this role. Reporting direct to the Project Manager on site, your challenge is to: -Coordinate and supervise direct staff & subcontractors; -Maintain construction quality; -Liaise effectively and professionally with design teams, local authorities, suppliers, quality verifiers, subcontractors, the client, and possibly the public; -Attend meetings; -Report to senior staff on schedules & budgets; and -Have an involvement on the significant environmental and safety aspects of the project. As a qualified Civil or Structural Engineer (although Mechanical Engineers with relevant project experience are encouraged to apply), you will have at least 3-7 years experience in the Australian Civil Construction arena. A track-record of Projects, successfully completed to Australian standards & specifications, will be viewed in a very positive light. If you are a Senior Project Engineer, a proven Project Engineer, or an experienced Site Engineer ready to ‘step-up’, do not hesitate to grab this opportunity with both hands.
