Our client is rapidly making their mark in the managed IT services space and has expanded to require the skills of a suitably qualified and experienced Enterprise Architect to join their team.
 
This opportunity is best suited to those who have done it all, have an in-depth knowledge of all the current technologies and now seek to provide high level advice and expertise to our client. Here’s a sample of the duties this role will perform:
 
  • Strategy and Planning
  • Infrastructure Consolidation  
  • Proof of Concept  
  • Disaster Recovery Planning  
  • Readiness Review  
  • High Availability Solutions  
  • Performance Optimisation  
 
Ideally, you will have between 10 - 20 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing information technology systems in complex environments with a primary focus on high availability client-server infrastructure and services at the campus, metropolitan and national levels. Your knowledge and experience will cover the challenges of scientific and engineering problems, interconnects between large communities across countries and the ability to securely store and process vast amounts of data.
 
As an architect, you will have attained several industry certifications from companies such as Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare etc.. And your resume will clearly demonstrate how you have designed, implemented and supported the following technologies:
 
  • Microsoft Windows Infrastructure (AD2003/AD2008, Exc2003/2007
  • Server Virtualisation (VMWare)
  • Thin Client Architecture (Citrix Xen)
  • Linux Server Infrastructure
  • Network Design and Services
  • Enterprise Storage (EMC)
  • Server Hardware (HP & IBM in both tower and blade formations)
