The Role
 
 
 
As the Accounts Receivable Officer, reporting into the Accounts Receivable Manager some of your responsibilities will include: 
 
  • Maintain the general debtors ledger
  • Follow up debtors regularly and persistently, applying judgement about the appropriate style of follow-up action.
  • Overseeing cash handling procedures through monitoring of security, checks on adherence to established procedures, regular reporting and liaison with all officers responsible for cash transactions.
  • Issue Overdue Reminders, Letters of Demand and Statement of Liquidated Claims as required.
  • Advise the Financial Accountant of bad and doubtful debts at year end.
  • Reconcile the inter-company clearing accounts
  • Create new debtors on the debtors ledger as required.
  • Assist with end of year accounts, as required.
 
 
Your Profile
 
 
 
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control position in a large organisation. Your ability to negotiate and liaise with internal and external contacts will be impeccable, as will be your written and verbal communication.
 
You will have a proven ability to collect money from clients in a professional manor and it is essential that you have solid experience using the Oracle system.
 
 
 
Unfortunately without having used Oracle you will be ineligible to apply for this role.
