At EQ Strategist, we recognise that building a platform for success, inspiration and fulfilment goes well beyond the traditional 3R’s of Language, Reading, and Mathematics. While a baseline of knowledge and technical skills is necessary, it is the balancing act of character, values, motivational and interpersonal or emotional competencies that gives students the right context for applying those skills effectively in the 21st century. Research into the field of Emotional Intelligence indicates that 2 out of 3 skills or attributes possessed by high performance individuals lie in one’s Emotional, as opposed to Cognitive Intelligence. Competencies like Self-Awareness, Adaptability, Empathy, Inspiring Others, Initiative, Resolving Conflict and Self-Drive. In this day and age, the pressure to excel at exams and attain academic “excellence” too often comes at the cost of comprising the development of this essential component of personal development and effectiveness.
 
 
Success Habits for Teenagers is a fun, highly interactive 1 - day workshop, designed specifically for teenagers (School Years 8 - 12) and incorporating activities and audio-visual learning tools. You will learn:
  • •The habits, thought patterns and beliefs that differentiate high achievers from the rest i.e. the Emotional Competencies
  • •How to set and achieve goals effectively
  • •How to overcome anxiety, worry and procrastination
  • •How to manage your time effectively
  • •How to say ‘no’ to peer pressure
  • •How to break through limiting beliefs about what you can and cannot do
  • •How to get the very most out of your time!
