Starting off with a pick up in the city or Kings Cross at around 7.30am.
We head south out of the city via Brighton Le Sands toward the world’s oldest national park the Royal National Park on Sydney’s southern outskirts. At the end of the national Park we will join Lawrence Hargrave Drive which has one of the most spectacular bridges in Australia.
There is the option here for taking the freeway and seeing the spectacular view from Bulli pass – this is a better option for a late start or a shorter tour.
From here we will skirt around Australia’s so called steel city of Wollongong and skirt along the coast for our next optional stop a Kiama to see the blowhole.
From hear we have to get our skates on and head down the coast we will stick to the scenic route along past Gerroa, Gerrigong and Seven Mile beach. At Shoalhaven Heads we will head inland to skirt around Nowra and down the princess highway toward our turn off to Jarvis Bay.
Past Myola and toward our lunch destination of Huskisson. (You have the option here to join a 2 ½ hour dolphin watch and scenic bay cruise – this will dramatically alter the rest of the day.)
We head further around the Jarvis Bay into the Booderee National Park and into what is part of the Australia Capital Territory (hear the story as we drive through). We are heading to the abandoned Cape St George Light House and possibly the best view on the coast at the right time of the year we will see whales. A quick short drive to Stoney Creek for a feeling of the isolation that is possible in the part of the world.
Back in the car now we have some Kilometres to cover we are turning off at Nowra and heading into the Kangaroo valley not possible if the boat trip has optioned has been chosen.
There are lovely views back toward the coast then as we drop down the valley the green floor rolls into the seeming impassable mountains that contain the valley. We can have a quick stop for a cuppa or look around the town or perhaps even stop for the “worlds greatest pie”. From here we head toward historic and picturesque Bowral & Mittagong then back onto the freeway to Sydney.
The day will be for a maximum of three people and I will personally conduct the excursion for the day. I grew up spending many an enjoyable holiday in this unique part of Australia and have a passion for sharing it.
This will be a very full day but you will see more than you bargained for.  Should you have any questions or requests do not hesitate to drop a line.
