Wanted: SYDNEY TO BRISBANE - around Christmas

Hello,
 
I have always wanted to do a roadtrip and am moving back to Queensland permanently at Christmas time so this may be my last chance.
 
I was hoping to head back up sometime during the week before Christmas, arriving no later than Christmas Eve.
 
Either driving straight through, or perhaps stopping a few places on the way to stretch our legs, take a look around, maybe a swim at the beach or visit some attraction along the way.  Even overnight somewhere perhaps???
 
I would only be travelling with a small suitcase as everything else is going up with the removalist mid-December.
 
I am 35, Australian, dont smoke or do drugs, dont really drink although have been known to have a social girly drink on occassion, dont have one of those annoying high pitched voices or hideous laugh, and dont have bad personal habits or hygiene. Oh yeah, decent (but not perfect) at reading maps and asking for directions.
 
If there was anyone heading up that way and was interested in a car buddy, then I would prefer if we could meet up for a coffee prior to leaving just to make sure we could actually tolerate each other's company for the 12 hour drive or whatever it is.
