Free Accomodation on House Boat

I'm busy juggling business and being a single parent, so i need someone to help with my boat.

I have a houseboat in survey on a mid north coast river that needs a good tidy up and some maintenance before hiring it out again and possibly re-locating to another river..

I'm offering free accommodation on the boat in return for a couple of hours work each day or a full day each week. Short or long term available and travellers are very welcome.

A week on this boat would normally cost $1200

The boat is nicely appointed with a shower, toilet, galley kitchen, fridge, hot water, television dvd etc. rooftop deck with BBQ. sleeps 8 but perfect for between 1-4 people. There is also a dingy attached for fishing.

The boat is moored to the shoreline at a beautiful location in a renowned tourist area, 5 minutes from  town shopping and beach, and national parks. Fantastic fishing location.

So what work needs to be done?

i will pay for all materials, you just do the labour. I will be available to help when i can.

Besides keeping the boat washed and tidy, the timber work needs a rub with oil, the stainless steel needs a polish. a few loose screws need fixing. top deck carpet to be replaced and new rubbers around some windows.

If you are a mechanic then great! mechanical work needed - repair and servicing of outboard motors, repair of a steering cable.

Electrical-  replace a couple of broken lights, fit a tv antenna to roof and work out why the stereo isn't working and or replace.

Also this vessel is due for slipping and there will be some anti-fouling work.
