2000' 40hp Johnson Commercial on 14ft De Havilland with trailer

Purchased the outboard last year for $3,000.  Ex navy, less than 50 hours use, regularly serviced.  Heavy duty components including oversized prop.  Never had a problem and have been impressed with the reliability and power from the commercial model.

The boat is an aluminium 1960's model.  Front steer, windscreen and canopy.  Light leak from front, easy to fix but haven't had the time.

Comes with a few other bits such as 2x life jackets, paddle, $300 boat cover (purchased Dec-08) and wheel clamp to protect the boat.

Spent $600 on trailer recently getting new bearings, new hubs and new tyres.  Both boat and trailer registered until January 2010.

Have enjoyed many fishing trips on this boat but with baby on the way it needs to go.  Looking for best offer or open to swap for something of interest.
